The International city.people.light award is an annual competition which is run in conjunction with the Lighting Urban Community International Asscociation (LUCI). The LUCI network of the cities of light cover five continents and has an international vocation, wich aims to make lighting a major tool in urban life, architecture and planning.
This award represents a significant step towards promoting the use of light as an essential component in urban developement.
With the International city.people.light award, Philips Lighting wishes to honour those towns or cities that are attempting to rehumarise the urban environment through the medium of light.
